How to play Krillion

Short answer: open the daily dive on krillion.io, read each of the seven prompts, and type one answer that fits before the timer runs out. Correct answers score more the rarer they are, so aim for something valid that most players would not think of.

The rules, step by step

1. Go to krillion.io and start the daily dive. Everyone gets the same seven prompts in the same order, and there is one dive per day.
2. Each prompt opens with a 3-second preview, then you have 25 seconds to answer. A prompt might be a category of places, people, films or words.
3. Type one answer that fits. If it is not accepted, try another until the time runs out. Autocorrect checks known spellings and aliases.
4. If the game suggests a correction, submit again to confirm it or edit your answer first. Between prompts the clock stops: tap Descend when you are ready for the next one.
5. Your answer lands in a rarity tier, from Plankton (10 points) to the Krillion gem (100 points). Every point sinks you 10 metres; 700 is the maximum.
6. When you finish, you can open every round to see all accepted answers by tier, and compare your score with other players.

What makes an answer “rare”?

Rarity is about how unusual your answer is compared with what people commonly think of, not about how hard the fact is. A well-known specific name can still be rare if few people reach for it under time pressure. Read the Krillion scoring guide for how rarity is decided.

Game modes

• Daily dive — the main mode: seven prompts per day, free and shared by everyone.
• Unlimited — extra dives without waiting for tomorrow. As of November 2026, a one-time $5 unlock that also opens the Archive of past days and removes ads.
• Themed packs — Words & Language, At the Movies, Sports and Geography, 30 rounds each. Free while in beta.
• Puffer Party — a multiplayer mode in beta for 2–16 players: name an answer and pass the puffer before it pops. Last one floating wins.
• Friends — sign in with Google to compare daily scores and answers with friends.
• Roblox — Krillion is also available as a game on Roblox.

Tips for deeper dives

• Spend the first seconds listing a few candidates, then choose the least obvious one you are sure of.
• Check the category boundary: a city is not a country, a character is not an actor.
• Prefer clear names over risky spellings — a typo can be autocorrected into a different answer.
• Never let the timer run out searching for the perfect answer.
